Safety Guidelines
bound's safety guide for offline meetups, event participation, chat, and reporting and blocking.
1. bound's Safety Principles
bound encourages building connections through shared interests and offline activities, but any meetup should put your comfort, boundaries, and safety first.
If you experience harassment, impersonation, fraud, threats, inappropriate content, or anything that makes you uncomfortable while using bound, please use the in-app report and block features or contact us via the support email.
2. Meeting for the First Time
Choose a public, well-lit place with good transport links and steady foot traffic.
Tell a trusted friend or family member the event location, time, and who you're going with.
Arrange your own transportation and keep the option to leave at any time.
If the other person suddenly asks to move to a private space, a remote location, or anywhere that makes you uncomfortable, you can refuse or cancel.
3. Chat and Personal Data Protection
Don't share your home address, ID documents, bank accounts, verification codes, internal company information, or other sensitive data too early.
Stay alert to anyone who asks you to transfer money, invest, lend money, receive packages, download unknown files, or move to suspicious platforms.
If someone keeps pressuring, insulting, sexually harassing, or threatening you, or asks you to do something you don't want to do, block and report them immediately.
4. Joining Events
Before joining an event, check that the time, place, host information, and event description are reasonable.
If an event doesn't match its description or involves illegal or high-risk behavior, don't participate — and report it to bound.
Respect other participants' boundaries. Don't photograph, record, touch, follow, or share other people's information without consent.
5. Emergencies
If you feel in immediate danger, leave the scene first and contact local emergency services.
bound's reporting and support channels cannot replace police, medical, or other emergency services.
Reporting and Blocking
You can block users and report chat content or events in the app. Reports are used for moderation, enforcing community rules, and keeping users safe.
