Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, registering for, accessing, or using the bound mobile application and related services operated by YOCHAN, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

If you do not agree to these terms, please do not create an account or use bound.

2. Eligibility

bound is only for users aged 18 and over.

You must provide truthful, accurate account and profile information that belongs to you, and you are responsible for all activity under your account.

3. What bound Provides

bound is an offline community platform built around interest-based meetups, supporting event discovery, event participation, chat, reporting and blocking, human verification, and trust and safety features.

bound does not guarantee any match, event participation, offline meetup, or interpersonal outcome. You are responsible for deciding whether, when, and how to interact or meet with other users.

4. User Content

You retain the rights to content you upload or post on bound, but you grant bound a license to use, store, display, and process that content as needed to provide, maintain, moderate, improve, and promote the service.

You may not upload or post content that is illegal, infringing, hateful, harassing, fraudulent, impersonates others, discloses personal data without consent, or otherwise violates community safety.

You may not access bound with automated tools, crawlers, or bots, and you may not attempt to interfere with, damage, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service.

5. AI-Assisted Features

bound may offer AI-assisted features such as self-introduction drafts, chat suggestions, or topic ideas. These features are assistive only, do not constitute professional advice, and cannot replace your own judgment.

AI output may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your situation. You should review and edit any AI-suggested content before sending it, and you are responsible for what you choose to send.

6. Human Verification

Human verification is voluntary. If you choose to verify, you agree that bound may process your selfie images and related face verification data as described in the Privacy Policy, and link the verification result to your bound account for app functionality, safety, fraud prevention, and trust signals.

If you do not verify, you can still use bound, but some trust, safety, or event features may be limited.

7. Events and Offline Meetups

You are responsible for your decisions to host, join, or cancel events. Please confirm that the event details, location, time, participants, and safety conditions meet your needs.

bound may provide safety reminders, reporting and blocking, human verification, and trust signals, but these features cannot replace your own judgment about the risks of meeting offline.

We recommend meeting in public places, telling someone you trust about your plans, arranging your own transportation, and leaving or seeking help immediately if you feel unsafe.

8. In-App Subscriptions

bound's paid Pro plan is available only through in-app subscriptions on the Apple App Store or Google Play. bound does not offer payment, checkout, card processing, or invoicing flows on the landing page or any web page.

Subscription pricing, trials, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are handled under the rules of the platform store you use. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings.

bound's backend only receives the necessary subscription receipts, transaction identifiers, product identifiers, and expiry times to verify subscription status and provide Pro features.

9. Suspension and Termination

bound may restrict, suspend, or terminate your account if you violate these terms, community safety rules, or applicable law, or if your use creates safety, legal, or platform risks.

You can delete your account in the app. After deletion, some records necessary for safety, auditing, dispute resolution, or legal compliance may be retained under the Privacy Policy.

10. Intellectual Property

bound's software, text, images, logos, designs, and service content are owned by bound or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

Except as expressly licensed in these terms, bound reserves all rights in the service.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, bound is not liable beyond what the law requires for interactions between users, event outcomes, third-party services, network interruptions, or damage not attributable to bound.

bound does not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will produce any particular outcome, including matches, event participation, or meeting any specific person.

These terms do not exclude or limit any liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms for product, regulatory, or operational reasons. We will notify you of material changes through the app, the website, or other reasonable means.

By continuing to use bound after the terms are updated, you accept the updated terms.
